31 Days of Horror--Day 16 HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS

The current penchant for movies based on either toys (Transformers, G.I. Joe) or board games (Battleship) is symptomatic of the pandering synergistic mindlessness of Hollywood Blockbusters.  So the brain trust behind some of these gems has decided to make a movie out of this game:

 The Mind boggles (Boggle could also be a movie)!

Granted, the film is going to be an animated children's film, so that choice makes some sense, but I would far prefer this fake trailer created by Film School Rejects about Hungry Hippos that KILL!

I love the fact that Liam Neeson stars in this film that has shades of Piranha, Anaconda, and obviously Jaws in its DNA.  That man just did a film with wolves (The Grey) that was just like this one.  He's quickly replaced Michael Caine as a once serious British actor who will do just about any film now.  Got to send the kids to private school!  Watch out for those Hungry Hippos everyone.
